Dressage

Victor brings to us years of experience training horses and riders to the upper levels of dressage. He believes in developing a horse and rider through classical principles in order to ride in lightness. He believes that the horse should enjoy the relationship as much as the riders do and strives to teach riders how to reach that harmony. Victor offers lessons and training as well as clinics across the U.S. specializing in in-hand work and Piaffe and Passage. He will also have a few quality consignment sale horses available for purchase.

Victor Pozzo has worked in the Equine industry for almost 20 years. Mostly carving a career path in show business with horses as a trainer for The world Famous Lipizzaner Stallion show and Medieval Times dinner and tournament. As a teenager he started out working as a groom and rider for the show, The Magical World of Dancing Horses. From there, Victor began showing Andalusians in both halter and performance classes as well as dressage earning an impressive 35 National titles. At this point he worked for two of the largest and most respected breeders in the country. First for JDon Farms in Southern California and then for Cortijo Las Morerias of Monterrey, Mexico and Ocala, Florida. During that time he also worked as a stunt double for the television show Dr. Quinn Medicine Women. From there Victor was hired by Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament, a dinner theater with nine locations across North America becoming the youngest trainer in their history assuming the responsibility of training both horses and riders at their Toronto Canada castle. From there Victor became the head Rider of the touring Production of the World famous Lipizzaner Stallion Show based out of Orlando, Florida where he traveled North America for 50 weeks a year with up to 15 Lipizzan Stallions.

After several years on the road Victor retired from the show and took a position at Temple Farms outside of Chicago a historic Lipizzan breeding farm which put on a yearly summer performance at their lovely facility. It was at Temple Farms where he was given the opportunity to work closely with incredible European masters of Dressage such as Conrad Schumacher and Hans Reigler former Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna Austria. It is this period that Victor was really able to hone his skills by blending both Classical and Competitive Dressage. Victor has spent time studying with Juan Jose Verdugo and Rafael Soto of the Royal School of Equestrian Art as well as working for Leslie Morse and Hilda Gurney.
